This is a safe sparring demonstration for beginners. The person I am sparring with in this video is not a disciple or practitioner of Freddie’s Modern Kung Fu (FMK). He studies under a Master that teaches a form of Karate. He has contacted me to serve as a sparring partner in order to help him develop his Karate techniques.
The utmost importance in FMK safe sparring is to learn the most possible while being as safe as possible. There should be absolutely no major injuries that occur during FMK safe sparring. It is the responsibility of both sparring partners to watch out for one another’s safety and well being. The practitioner that has greater experience, athleticism, and skill level should always adapt to the level of experience and training of the individual who he is sparring with. Both sparring partners must exercise great control in order to minimize serious injury.
