Does martial arts really work in the case of an attack? Does anyone know of any cases where it has saved a woman’s life?
Sometimes, martial arts isnt always the best solution for self defense. It takes a long time to get effective, and in terms of using it solely for self defense, it can be inefficient because you are introduced a whole new way of life/movements/thinking/habits.
Obviously though, if you have been in martial arts for a long time, you have a solid chance of defending yourself more so than the average person.
If your only concern is self defense, best to stick to a few series of movements based on instinct, and review the way you live your life.
Do you often go out at night alone? Do you park in well lit areas? Do you know your neighbors well? Do you leave your windows opened?
Find a school specifically for women’s self defense if this is your only concern, they will lead you in the right direction in the most efficient means possible.

i just turned 18, and have been doing judo for 3 months almost five.
I’m really liking martial arts. but am wondering what is the best form of martial arts for women? I want to be able to defend myself and with stikes and kicks.
I heard that Jujitsu is one of the greatest because it also teaches how to defend against weapons.
what’s the best?
you will find women in all walks of the martial arts. there is no "one size fits all" art for women, because women can do any art under the sun. it all depends on personal preference and what you’re looking for. i started out studying tae kwon do, and i earned a black belt and have now branched out to studying kickboxing, judo, iado, and ninjutsu. so really, it depends on what you want from it.
for strike/kick arts, check out:
karate (many different types)
tae kwon do
muay thai
kickboxing
for self-defense/broader fighting systems, see:
krav maga
jiujutsu
ninjutsu
shin kage ryu
for grappling, see:
judo
aikido
these are just a few; there are hundreds more you can look up. just keep this in mind; you don’t want to limit yourself to only strikes/kicks as self-defense. being well-rounded and having knowledge of many different arts helps to build your personal arsenal. keep this in mind as you investigate. good luck!

Combat female troop directly belong to Army SWC, almost them serve in there training with 707Battalion, ROK best of best spec ops unit. In this vid, Men are 707, Women are female trooper.

I’m very into martial arts and I really want to try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but I wanted to know if its good for women. Will it help me out there in the real world if anyone ever attacks me? Anything else I should know?
You should know that it is a very close (body on body) martial art. As long as you don’t have problems with others being on you and in your guard (between your legs), you will be alright. I’m sure you’d be able to find if not other women to roll with, there is bound to be respectful and mature men to roll with.
As for the real world attacks, it would be very advantageous to you. The majority of street fights / attacks end up on the ground, and with a solid jiujitsu background you can bet your attacker will stay down.

Or which martial art would you recommend for defense and dont be so hard for women and keep the female body.
Well about my question is for broke tables and have a hard hand and a big back, this is just my fear, but I need learn for defense and perhaps protect my life.
I think martial arts are great for women. Just about any martial art school is going to have some sort of self defense component to it’s curriculum, some will focus more than others.
If you are looking to get in better cardiovascular shape, gain flexibility, have some fun, learn some self defense, learn some contact, learn some forms, possibly do some competitions (optional) and gain some self confidence, then Tae Kwon Do or Karate would be a great choice. My daughter started when she was 8 (she’s 10 now) and loves it and there are alot of adult women role models for her in class.
If you live in a dangerous area and/or if you want a major focus of time spent on realistic "scenario" training, then look for a women’s self defense class or a "krav maga" style class. These will teach the most simple and quickest ways to inflict damage on your attacker and get away, but they won’t spend alot of time on flexibility or fitness.
I respectfully disagree with those that suggest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as being "great for women’s self defense". Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is based on ground fighting, against a single opponent, and many the leverage techniques are based on grabbing and manipulating the "Gi" or uniform. (There is a version called "no Gi" Jiu-Jitsu that I think is more effective) The self defense offered in a Kung Fu, Karate or Tae Kwon Do setting will also teach techniques that are designed for a weaker person to overcome a stronger person. In addition, my experience has been that classes on BJJ are made up mostly of men, and many of the techniques involve body positions that may make many women uncomfortable. For example, the "Guard" position is basically the missionary (on your back, legs open and wrapped around your opponent) with clothes on. If there isnt a girl, or a guy you know and trust in class, in may be intimidating or uncomfortable. I’m sure many instructors can overcome this, but I’m just stating from an outsiders view.
You should trial what is available in your area and choose the one you like best!
So bottom line, yes, martial arts can be great for women!

im small and pretty strong but am looking for "passive" self defence, the kind where you don’t necessarily attack the person but just disarm their attacks against you.
No guns, I’m talking about martial arts here! No abbreviatations either – I don’t know what they mean
From what you are describing aikido sounds like your kind of thing. Aikido is a non agressive martial art the entire point is to subdue your opponent with as little force or agression as you can. Aikido is all about non resistance and not using force. It comes natural to women as it does not use physical strength. (which is hard for most men). the techniques you are taught are meant to just stress or stretch the opponent, or throw him with little ill effect. It does not mean that it can not do damage. The locks and throws can be used with very brutal effect if necessary (break limbs, dislocate members, kill,…) but of course that is not it’s intent
Aikido is as our founder said it is the art of peace
