I want to learn martial Arts at home.I want more flexibility what should i do?
i am a 20year old with no previous exercise or no other form of martial art’s experience. I would like to learn the martial arts. What form of martial art’s can i start with and how can i progress? And is it possible to learn it on your own at home?
1. You need to find a good school to train at.
2. Nothing good is free.
3. You cannot learn at home, from dvd, from books…no matter what.
4. There is nothing wrong with wanting to learn but to not seek out qualified instruction is wasting resources, time and will not help you.

Martial arts are interactive. You cannot do it all alone. DVDs help most when you have instruction and a training partner. If you want flexibility:

I myself was a martial arts wannabe. I always bought books and searched the internet for lessons. But now that I joined a Martial arts, I’ve discovered ALOT of mistakes I did not see during self training. It is always better to seek an instructor than to teach yourself. However, during my "wannabe" period, I stretched very often and gained some flexibility(in my right leg). All you have to do is stretch your hamstrings everyday.

NO it is not possible to train yourself at all, let alone on books and DVDs.
You need a teacher. There is no possible way at all to learn a martial art from a book or CD. All books and CDs can do are help a little after you’re already training under a teacher.

You need to train with a professional, don’t bother reading books like karate for dummies. If it’s flexibility you want, stretching is the best way to get your legs in shape. Martial arts will help with flexibility too.

You can learn most of the basic stuff by shadow boxing but u wont be good at all like this. its not the same if u go to the gym where u can get a better knowledge. but to learn it, you’ll have to learn, just sign up at the local club
