Just as a workout, I would recommend doing jiu-jitsu. I do both kickboxing and jiu-jitsu and did a little karate, and I've found that jiu-jitsu works more muscles than kickboxing and karate. It also works muscles that you do not normally use in your every day. It would also depend on your instructors. In kickboxing, we do almost no cardio, but in jiu-jitsu, almost an hour is cardio.
References :
If you got the muscle, you're going to want to pick a style based off force, as opposed to speed - I'd go with Judo or Juijitsu, or if you want a more practical approach, try kajukenbo if you can find it in your area. It's pretty awesome. I might also want to look into Krav maga, or if you're more in it for the exercise and/or sport, go for martial arts that have tournaments, (Karate, Taekwandoe, MMA)

-Hope I helped
