Also, it has been around a lot longer than the video suggests. and has been used for ages because it works so well. It&#039;s light, flexible, and extremely strong and won&#039;t splinter like other wood. Bamboo and rattan are both actually grass, not wood, and they are not very strong. They&#039;re mostly used for practice because when they break they shred instead of splintering.
Also, you can grow your own waxwood. It comes from Ligustrum lucidum, a common shrub.</description>
