Andrea forces the staff take lie detector tests, and an admission by Lisa about her past may hurt all of them. Meanwhile, Mr. James re-re-releases his autobiography which has been translated back into English from Japanese.

The title ‘Super Karate Monkey Death Car’ is also the name of the computer game that Lisa’s 23 year old brother invented and sold to Microsoft in the episode ‘Negotiation’.

Ron Jeremy(the famous star)is at Books Etc when Jimmy is reading from his book. He is one of the people that gets up and leaves right before they open the floor for questions. Also in attendance is Brian Posehn, who is best known for starring in Mr. Show, The Sarah Silverman Program and Just Shoot Me. He also makes another NewsRadio appearance in ‘Chock’ as Brian, one of Dave’s best friends.

Jimmy: Maybe I should do a reading here, Jimmy James Live at Budokan.
Jimmy is referencing the Cheap Trick album Live at Budokan(1979). Recorded at a concert at the Budokan arena in Japan, the album was the American breakout album for the band, which like Jimmy James, had a huge following in Japan but next to no appreciation back home in the U.S.

Dave: Great Joe. Now Dean Wormer can never put the Deltas on probation.
Dave is referencing the hot comedy film Animal House(1978)which chronicled the adventures of the members of Delta House, the most slovenly fraternity on campus. Dean Wormer(as played by John Vernon)was the humorless university administrator determined to abolish the Deltas.

Dave: I obviously didn’t watch as much Zoom as you.
Zoom was a childrens program that was broadcast on PBS starting in the 70’s. It featured games, crafts and stunts that children could do by themselves at home. A new version is currently on the air.

Jimmy James:(reading from his book)I never doubted myself for a minute, for I knew that my monkey-strong bowels were girded with strength, like the loins of a dragon ribboned with fat and the opulence of buffalo dung.
Jimmy:(reading from his book)Glorious sunset of my heart was fading. Soon the super karate monkey death car would park in my space. But Jimmy has fancy plans, and pants to match.
