(HD) “The Karate Kid” Full

Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) moves with his mother (Randee Heller) from Newark, New Jersey to Reseda, a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Their apartment’s handyman is an odd but kindly and humble Okinawan immigrant named Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita).
Daniel meets Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue), a high school cheerleader, but earns the anger of her ex-boyfriend, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), a karate student. Johnny is the best student at the Cobra Kai dojo, where he is taught an unethical, vicious form of martial arts. Daniel knows some karate from books, and from a few months’ experience at the YMCA, but is the victim of repeated beatings from Johnny and his friends.
When Miyagi witnesses one of the beatings, he intervenes and single-handedly defeats all five Cobra Kai with ease. Awed, Daniel asks Miyagi to be his teacher. Miyagi refuses, but agrees to go with Daniel to the Cobra Kai dojo in order to resolve the conflict. They confront the sensei, John Kreese (Martin Kove), an ex-Special Forces Vietnam Veteran who sneers at the concepts of mercy and restraint. Kreese and Miyagi agree to a match between Johnny and Daniel in two months’ time at the “All Valley Karate Tournament”, where Cobra Kai students can fight Daniel on equal terms. Miyagi also requests that the bullying stop while Daniel trains. Kreese orders his students to leave Daniel alone, but threatens that if Daniel does not show up for the tournament, the harassment will resume and Miyagi will also become a target.

Miyagi becomes Daniel’s teacher and, slowly, a surrogate father figure. He begins Daniel’s training by having him perform laborious chores such as waxing cars, sanding a wooden floor, painting a fence, and refinishing Miyagi’s house. Each chore is accompanied with a specific movement, such as clockwise/counter-clockwise hand motions. Daniel eventually feels frustrated, believing he has learned nothing of karate. When he expresses his frustration, Miyagi reveals that Daniel has been learning defensive blocks through muscle memory learned by performing the chores.
As Daniel’s training continues “in the open,” his bond with Miyagi becomes closer. He learns that Miyagi lost his wife and son in childbirth at Manzanar internment camp while he was serving overseas with the United States Army during World War II. The loss of his family and Daniel’s loss of his father further strengthens the father-son surrogacy. Daniel also discovers that the outwardly peaceful and serene Miyagi was a recipient of the Medal of Honor for heroism against German forces in Europe.
Through the teaching, Daniel learns not only karate but also important life lessons such as the importance of balance, reflected by the belief that martial arts training is as much about training the spirit as the body. Daniel applies the life lessons that Miyagi has taught him to strengthen his relationship with Ali.

Published 22 April, 2010

In mixed martial arts, one organization is holding events across the globe to find the world’s best fighters. This month’s event in Moscow saw the pick of Eastern Europe settling scores.

It is called M-1 Global, and this is a world where every fighter has the chance to find fame.

The M-1 selection tournaments aim to pick out the top MMA fighters from all over the globe America, Europe and Asia and sort out the very best of the best.

The most skillful Eastern European martial artists represented in five weight categories went face to face in Moscow in April.

They were watched by the man who had already been there and done that Fedor Emelianenko known as The Last Emperor of mixed martial arts, and today’s best MMA fighter.

Two more VIP guests at ringside were the pride of Russian womens boxing, world champion Natalya Ragozina, and Hollywood action movie star and former European karate champion, Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The 50-year-old Belgian, who is still an idol for many martial arts fans all over the globe, confessed he was more than impressed with what he had seen.

I didn’t have the chance to learn Greco-Roman wrestling or sambo, because at that time it was not existing, especially in Belgium. So I started karate when I was 11 and thats all I knew, which is not bad. And I think I brought a certain style of flexibility and different types of kicking maybe thats why people can appreciate me today. But I love MMA, because it combines techniques, flexibility and power, said Van Damme.

Going back to the mat, all eyes were on the Russian fighters from the Sambo 70 club, who didn’t let their glorious team mate Fedor Emelianenko down.

Dominating every aspect of the fight that’s the way one of Russia’s main hopefuls in the light-heavyweight division, Viktor Nemkov, overcame Shamil Vaysurov the Combat Sambo champion of Moscow in 2008.

Meanwhile, his teammate Vitaly Minakov and Ruslan Kabdulin represented a classic rivalry between a wrestler and a hand-to-hand fighter, where two-time world sambo heavyweight champion Minakov claimed a clear victory.

Meanwhile, the next clash turned out to be one of the toughest competitions in the under 93 kilos division. Russian Vyacheslav “Saint Fist” Vasilevsky opposed Ukraine’s Sergey Guzev.

World combat sambo champion Vasilevsky was expected to dominate the fight, but the Ukrainian proved to be skillful, confident and tough.

As a result, he even looked a bit better during the first two rounds.

Although Saint Fist was keen to prove his nickname in the third and reminded the crowd of one of the most famous Van Damme movies “Bloodsport”.

However, it was a split decision.

My opponent turned out to be much tougher than I expected. I seemed to be slightly losing in the first two rounds. I gave my all in the third and I won it, but I still lacked power to knock him out, Vasilevsky stressed.

The next stage of the Eastern European selection will take place in Kiev, Ukraine next month.

Some Basic Leg Stretches

Here are a few of the basic leg stretching exercises. You should spend about 15-20 mins stretching each day. I tried to do my video in half the time because of the 10 min time limit. There are more leg stretches I want to cover in future videos and I will post how to stretch all other parts of the body as well. For example, the Neck and Back, The Shoulder, Arms and Wrists, The sides of the ribs, hips and abdomen, and of course all the muscles and joints in the leg. Including thigh, calf, ankle, knee, inner and outer part of the leg, bottom, and lower back or tailbone.
