Well I would say Chinese "Tai Chi Chuan". Tai chi chuan is considered a soft style martial art — an art applied with internal power — to distinguish its theory and application from that of the hard martial art styles.
References :
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu easily because unlike Judo it relies more on leverage and technique than raw strength plus breaking someone's arm will stop them more effectively than a punch ever would.
References :
The Japanese Jujutsu teaches you what you are looking for.

Toudijutsu does also but there are only a handful of us.

This is the original formalized art of Okinawa.

"Ti" is the original, but after the Okinawans incorporated what they learned from the Chinese, They called it Toudijutsu = China Hand Art.

Later, the Japanese invaded Okinawa and forced the people into subjection. When they realized that the Oki's where not easy victims, they took their weapons. The Oki's developed Kobujutsu - the art of using farming tools to defend yourself against oppressors.

The Oki's where banned from practicing together. They began to formulate and adapt the kata to hide their techniques. When the Japs forced them to teach them the art, they changed it and excluded all the true martial content.

This was the transition to karate "do".

Look for someone near you who teaches karate jutsu. It's not karate & jujtsu mixed. It's the older and truly effective art.
References :
32 years Okinawan and Chinese arts... and always a student.

you will find women in all walks of the martial arts. there is no "one size fits all" art for women, because women can do any art under the sun. it all depends on personal preference and what you're looking for. i started out studying tae kwon do, and i earned a black belt and have now branched out to studying kickboxing, judo, iado, and ninjutsu. so really, it depends on what you want from it.
for strike/kick arts, check out:
karate (many different types)
tae kwon do
muay thai
kickboxing
for self-defense/broader fighting systems, see:
krav maga
jiujutsu
ninjutsu
shin kage ryu
for grappling, see:
judo
aikido
these are just a few; there are hundreds more you can look up. just keep this in mind; you don't want to limit yourself to only strikes/kicks as self-defense. being well-rounded and having knowledge of many different arts helps to build your personal arsenal. keep this in mind as you investigate. good luck!
References :
extensive training in tae kwon do, iado, and ninjutsu
